Screening
In the outpatient clinic, the malnutrition screening is performed with the BMI and % of weight loss or SNAQ + BMI.
The questions of the SNAQ screening tool proved to be the questions that were most predictive of malnutrition. To reach an adequate sensitivity, specificity and positive and negative predictive value, adding the BMI to the SNAQ score was necessary.

In geriatric patients we use the Mini Nutritional Assessment (MNA)
